My first character was an assassin. Still have her and she's my character with the most amount of maxed titles, although I find myself playing my monk more due to doing more stuff with guildies, particularly the Z-Quests.

I've always liked healer/support, Monk was my first char

I still remember my first day making a pvp Monk and running into RA with that default skillbar and making it to 5 wins on the first go

Kinda surprised there arn't more monks

I'm not, not really. Most people tend to make monks after at least one playthrough, according to my friend. Add to that the fact that monks were and are still used for farming, and you kind of figure many people (not just Guru people) made monks for farming rather than because they wanted to heal/prot.
